Our Teachers:

Class 1 - Jenny Ji Jenny Ji

Class 2 - Sunny Lin Email Sunny
Sunny is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. She earned her BA degree in International Business in Taiwan. She has taught Chinese to adults in Taiwan. She has also taught Chinese at Mei Hua Chinese School and Whatcom Day Academy. She lives with her husband and daughter in Bellingham. Currently, she is taking classes at Pacific Lutheran University to get her Washington State teaching certificate in World Languages. Besides Chinese language, she has also taught folk dance, sports, and arts and crafts to kids.

Class 3 - Sunny Lee

Sunny Lee holds a BA degree in Foreign Language and Literature from Chung Hsing University in Taiwan and a TESOL Certificate from WWU. For 15 years she taught public and private schools in Taiwan. Sunny joined Mei Hua's teaching staff in 2003 where she has taught all levels of students. She has attended many language workshops in Seattle, Taiwan and over the internet and is currently taking classes at Pacific Lutheran University and will receive her Washington State teaching certificate in World Languages next year.

Class 4 - Shuling Sun Email Shuling
Shu-Ling studied and taught developmental psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also earned an MBA from WWU and is currently the Business Manager for the Lynden School District. This is her first time teaching Chinese. Her goal is to prepare her students for their future study in college or overseas in a Chinese environment

Adult Class - Alice Cao Email Alice
Alice Cao is a native Mandarin speaker born and raised in Tianjin, one of the biggest coastal cities in northern China.  She moved to the US in June 2011.  Her major in college was Business English, but she has always been passionate about teaching Chinese language. In 2010, she earned her International Mandarin Teaching Certificate, and has been teaching Mandarin since then.  For the last three years, she has taught many students, from kindergarteners to adults.  She is very excited about her new teaching career in Bellingham, and she plans to continue her education at WWU.  Alice joined Mei Hua Chinese School in October 2011 and is teaching both at Mei Hua and after school programs at local public schools.  She loves to share Chinese customs with her students, and always brings interesting topics and creative ideas to her class.
